Daiichi #2135<br>&quot;Bob Veverka&quot; Salmon Hook

Daiichi #2135
"Bob Veverka" Salmon Hook

Bob Veverka, a noted fly tier and author from Vermont, designed this hook after studying old handmade hooks from England and salmon flies from the 1800's. The design employs light wire to give the appearance of a gentle, thin hook, which enhances the overall aesthetics of classic "full dress" Atlantic salmon flies. As a fishing hook, this model works very well for wet flies and dry flies for salmon or steelhead trout.

Daiichi #7131

Daiichi #7131

This double hook is produced from one piece of wire doubled back in the shank of the hook where it is brazed together. The wire diameter and shape of this hook connotes a "low water" style of salmon hook. As a fishing tool, double hooks have twice the weight of a similar sized single hook and the two hooks bends at 90 degrees from each other are said to be effective "keels" for some flies, keeping them upright.
Available sizes 8, 10, & 12
