The Sage SHIFT fly reel is a strong, lightweight, fully machined reel built for dependable performance across demanding fishing situations. Its large arbour design provides fast line pickup when a fish turns or runs back toward you, while the narrow spool helps line stack cleanly and evenly during long days on the river.

At the heart of the SHIFT is Sage’s sealed SCS drag system, delivering smooth, consistent, repeatable pressure to help protect tippet while controlling hard-running fish. The drag is sealed against water, sand, grit, and salt, making it a dependable choice in harsh conditions. A one-revolution drag knob with 20 numbered, detented settings makes adjustments quick and precise.

Cold-forged and machined from 6061 aluminum, the SHIFT offers excellent strength and rigidity without unnecessary weight. Its concave spool increases line capacity and supports smooth drag performance, making it well suited for Atlantic salmon lines, backing, and the strong runs these fish are known for.

The SHIFT also features easy left- or right-hand retrieve conversion and includes a protective neoprene and embroidered ballistic nylon reel case.
